       Bob's Top Ten Activities Without Leaving Home

        

                 Our Recommendations Are:

  1.   Relaxing on the deck watching Nature pass you by.
  2.   Fishing off the deck from your lounge chair, while sipping Ice Tea.
  3.   Roasting marshmallows around the camp fire  with your family.
  4.   Soaking in the Hot tub, watching the sunrise with a good cup of coffee.
  5.   Swimming & Skiing off the deck.
  6.   Sun Bathing while reading a good book.
  7.   Roasting hotdogs over a open fire.
  8.   Taking a boat ride through the historic locks
  9.   Going for a Canoe ride, while watching the sunset.
  10.   Feeding the wildlife, Geese, Ducks & Fish

 

                 Top  Activities within a Hours Drive

                         ( I couldn't stop at 10)

  1.   Visit Mt Hood's, Timberline Lodge for dinner & go summer skiing.
  2.   Drive to the Columbia Gorge and visit the many scenic water Falls.
  3.   Kite flying at Canyon Beach, or the arcade at Seaside, on the Oregon Coast
  4.   Kahneeta Indian Resort, Casino & Hot Springs - Maybe 1.5 Hours
  5.   Wine tasting at some of the many Wineries located around the Willamette Valley
  6.   Take a ferry ride a crossed the Willamette River in Canby. (its free).
  7.   Ride the elevator ( vertical street ) The End of the Oregon Trail in Oregon City (its free).
  8.   Visit Portland's Famous Rose (its free) & Japanese Garden's
  9.   Take the Max & ride the elevator to the Oregon Zoo.
  10.   Have dinner at one of Portland's many fine Restaurants. It is said Portland has more restaurants per capita then any city in the US
  11.   Visit Portland's water front, take dinner cruise up the Willamette River on the Stern Wheeler.
  12.   Deep Sea fishing & Whale watching at Depoe Bay, try the Carmel Corn & Salt Water Taffy.
  13.   Wind Surfing, Mountain Biking, Hiking, White Water Rafting & Kite Boarding in Hood River
  14.   Powell's Book Store the worlds biggest located in Portland     http://www.powells.com
  15.   Visit Salem the State Capitol take 99E south not I-5
  16.   Portland's Saturday market
  17.   Golfing at one of Oregon beautiful 130 public courses
  18.   Forest Park, the biggest park located inside the city limits.
  19.   Visit one of the many Microbrewers Portland is famous for.

Hood, Mt St. Helens, Mt Rainer, Crater Lake, Bend, Hood River, Oregon City, Seattle Wa; Vancouver BC, Victoria BC, Hells Canyon, Oregon Dunes, National Forests, Lakes, Rivers, Sisters, Kahnetta Warm Springs and Much Much More.
